Cocktails, bistro-style dining and hotel towel to be introduced onboard Delta Economy Class

  • 09 July 2019

With Delta Air Lines’ new initiatives to offer an upgraded main cabin experience on international flights, the long-overlooked economy traveler can finally enjoy some of the hospitality usually earmarked for the premium class passengers. The fresh approach has been decided after an extensive review done by testing the new services on about 14,000 hours of flight time and from feedback taken from crews as well as surveys done on around 1,800 customers.

Beginning this November, Delta Air Lines will offer main cabin passengers on international routes with an upgraded in-flight experience. The elevated experience starts at the time of the boarding when flight attendants will offer a hotel towel service while greeting passengers at the gate. And as soon as the flight takes off, guests will be served complimentary Bellini cocktails as “Welcome Aboard” drinks made with sparkling wine and peach puree.

As per their reinvigorated menu, passengers will be allowed to select premium entrees inspired by Delta One dishes. One can choose from their delicious range of appetizers and entrees or mix and match as per the preferences. To make the experience even more extraordinary, meals will be served on custom and upgraded cutlery. Dessert will include a choice between complimentary coffee, tea, wine, or water. Second hot towel service will be provided following the meal in addition to farewell chocolates as the final treat. An amenity kit provided onboard comprising of a sleep mask, a dental kit, cleansing towelettes, and earplugs will be the best bit of the upgraded amenities.
